" On the Day you shall see the believing men and believing women,
their light running forward before them and by their right hands
Glad tidings for you this Day!
Gardens under which rivers flow to live therein forever!
Truly, this is the great success!
On the day when the hypocrites - men and women - will say to the believers:
"Wait for us! Lets us get something from your light!"
It will be said, "Go back to your rear! Then seek a light!"
So a wall will be put up between them, with a gate therein
Inside it will be mercy and outside it will be torment.
The hypocrites will call the believers: " Were we not with you?"
The believers will reply: "Yes! But you led yourselves into temptations
you looked forward to our destruction, you doubted in faith
and you were deceived by false desires till the Command of Allah came to pass
and the chief deceiver (Satan) deceived you in respect of Allah."
So this Day no ransom shall be taken from you (hypocrites),
nor those who disbelieved.
Your abode is the Fire.
This is your friend, and worst indeed is that destination.
Has not the time come for those believe to be affected by
Allah's Reminder (this Quran)
and that which has been revealed of the truth
lest they become of those who received the Scripture before (jews & christians)
so the term was prolonged for them and so their hearts were hardened?
And many of them were disobedient (to Allah).

"If her jodoh is with this guy, or her jodoh is with that guy, then it is all from Allah's will. Remember also if her jodoh is with no one, then it is also from His will."

Something i have to take note of cos i have this aberrant fear of growing old alone with no one by my side ): Also something my mum said which I'll try to remember, even when she's not around anymore..

"If you don't meet your jodoh here in this dunya, you will meet him in Jannah insyaaAllah."

InsyaaAllah.

Haiss. Can't people understand Islam correctly. The muslims especially. You don't see the ulama' or the scholars (the ones with the MOST ILM and knowledge on Islam in our time) going around 'jihadly' bombing people and landmarks, or asking people to do these jobs even. Sick and tired of this kind of people liao. :/

"Eh did i tell you? Last semester Lauren texted Salmah asking her to join Christianity. She explained stuff abt christian all that and said that she really cared abt Salmah and wanted her to be... safe."

Thoughts of surprise and astonishment filled my mind but the thought that lingered the most was the fact that she was brave enough to approach and share with others about her religion. Yes, i'm calling her brave. Coming to my end of three years in poly i doubt ive approached anyone regarding islam and shared with them the true beauty of islam, let alone have i made any difference in anyone's life.

Sungguh malu. :/

I truly salute those people, especially youth da'ies, who are brave (to me) enough to make an effort in giving da'wah. Coming from a madrasah background, being in poly right now allows me the perfect opportunity to actually contribute something. To me, EVERYONE deserves a chance to hear the TRUTH about Islam. And ofcourse who else are they going to hear it from except from us muslims?

I can't really imagine getting attached to someone who's not upon the same understanding or manhaj as me. It's like having to choose between pizza and ice cream. OK NO. Bad example. Haha. I guess i'll just have to give that person up cos honestly, i am more in love with this manhaj than i will ever be with a person. I think. :/
Don't worry dear self. Allah will give you someone better insyaaAllah (=

"Subhanallah, a young brother had an accident and became blind, may Allah grant him patience. He was asked how he was going to cope with his blindness, and he gave us some of the best advice I heard in my life, which I didn't expect:

"Before becoming blind, when I used to play a videogame and then it becomes boring, I would simply increase the level of difficulty to hard and it becomes fun again. That's how I see it. Allah has increased the difficulty of my life from easy to hard, and I accept that challenge and find joy in it! So my advice to everyone, blind or not, if you feel your life is boring, chances that you are not challenging yourself enough. Increase your life level and worship level to a higher level, and enjoy the challenge, and remember, a harder game comes with higher scores and reward, so Allah will reward you accordingly!"

Honestly, tell me how many people you know have that strong Eman in Allah in that way when a catastrophe strikes them! And I like how he described it in his own youthful way with the game analogy. May Allah reward him and help us step up to our life challenges. Truly, some people are blind but Allah gave them the light of wisdom, and some people have eyes but they chose the blindness of the heart. Now go challenge yourself! "

Teaching, has its pros and cons i guess.
Teaching part time in local mosques has taught me a few things. Literally. The things I've forgotten or had never even knew came out in a syllabus that eventually i had to teach and its like both the kids and i are learning, you know. So i'm thankful for that.

But then, there'll be a point of time where you have to teach them something you already know, but you yourself are not applying it (yet).
"O you who believe! Why do you say that which you do not do? Most hateful it is with Allah that you say that which you do not do"
[As-Saff 61:2-3]

Guilty as charged here. D:
Sometimes i feel like just skipping the certain topic just because of this reason. But then you won't be actually doing what you're supposed to do as a teacher in relaying that information to them, right? Guess i just have to work harder in actually doing the things i'm teaching other people to do.

Is it 'healthy' to be holding on to something that's not even yours?

Reading all the hadeeths on the different topics in ibadah and life got me thinking... How we couldn't possibly know what the Prophet did, how the Prophet did things if not for the sahabahs and the tabi'een and tabi'ut tabi'een in relaying the correct information on to the next people or generation. Its because of them we NOW are able to follow the Prophet's actions in doing salah, and other ibadahs, authentically, in shaa Allah.

Somehow, the same job also falls into our hands in relaying the teachings to our own children one day.

Friends of the Hereafter.

20.10.12
The date where everything (well almost everything) took a better turn for me. Hamdanlillah.

It was Irsyad's fundraising day and being the 'i bet i'll be bored at home so might as well help out' type of person haha i decided to volunteer sell some foodsss for irsyad's alumni fund, hence the name 'irsyad's fundraising day', lol. Ok moving on.

Was halfway through the 'event' when me and some friends decided to releks one corner and just talk about... stuff. Surprisingly a common topic came up and we discussed about it from our common views. That was when one of them asked if we wanted to go to URD's class later on (which was at hougang and it was opened for girls only :D). It was quite an impromptu plan as you can see but oh well things with them are always impromptu hoho. So we've been going there together ever since and ustad is rly nice cos he keeps giving us 'NO NEED TO PAY COS WE'RE STILL STUDENTS NOW AIN'T THAT AWESOME :O' books everytime we come, eventhough there's a few holes in our attendance. Hais may Allah bless him and his team lah hor.
(Anyway URD's classes are rly awesome you should try going once hehehehe you'll be addicted lol *promote*)

And basically from there onwards i started learning more, met new companions, and my life turned to a new horizon. Chey. It was a blessed moment cos i thought i was alone all these while, but now i have a whole circle of friends upon the same understanding alhamdulillah. :'D Its them that sparked my interest/desire to learn more, with Allah's will. Jazaakumullah khairan.<3 p="">

May Allah preserve our friendship till forever and help us help each other attain the best for the Hereafter, allahumma aamiin (:

On a side note, i ask Allah to give me a better understanding of His religion as ive seen so many people take a major change and its so scary )': Ya muqallibal qulub thabbit qalbi 'ala diinik. And i really really hope to be firmer in this matter cos i believe this is the safest path insyaaAllah. Better be safe than sorry, right? Especially if it involves our Akhirat.
